CV Update, and myspace

As part of my new chapter, I've updated my CV, as you can see on the CV page, I have also replaced the plain text version of the downloadable CV with a PDF version, and you can still download the .doc MS word version too.

I've had a myspace profile for a little while, just so I could look at and make comments on pictures on the knifehandchop, La Familia and 8 Balls pages, but recently I've actually bothered to put up a couple of videos and a few more details about me, check it out here: myspace.com/benpascoe

Here's a short video of me surfing which I quickly knocked up for my profile (music by Fatboy Slim):

Now I'm off to work on a couple of covering letters...

Inspiration, a new chapter

A nice weekend for me, I'm going to get on it and apply for a bunch of jobs now, open a new chapter in which I attain perfect happiness and fulfillment etc. right after I watch the England match.

I've also got to get my ass in gear and get editing for 8 balls, I've got a lot of ideas and I've been looking out for some more, I need to wait until JD is back in the 'mouth before I can film one of them, but it'll be sweet when it's done hopefully,

For now I've been watching a few Spike Jonze videos, I've put this one here so I don't forget about it: "How they Get there"

I have also been listening to Knifehandchops Dirty New York EP which is pretty cool, but probably a bit too bass heavy to use in the 8balls DVD unfortunately.

8th-18th June 06: first ten days of my 23rd year

I've been busy for the last couple of weeks, done some work, spent a lot of time with a new friend, visited Tiffany (and met up with Jinman) in London, attended the Wimborne Folk Festival, and went surfing once.

The folk festival was nice, a good laugh, good to meet up with James and George, and good to meet Chris. There's some more pictures from the event in: this flickr photo-set

James and Steve are in Indonesia at the moment, hope they are having a good time,

JD and Jinman will both be back in Plymouth soon so that will be cool, also Jinman wants to cycle from London to Plymouth when he comes home, which would be really good fun to do, but only if it's planned very well...

Also looking into a new DIY camera housing idea too.

Not 22 for very much longer

Had an awesome couple of days, things are going well, Should be able to sort out some work-experience stuff with the BBC in the near future, and there's been some exciting developments in other areas.

I'm not sure what to do tomorrow for my 23rd birthday, I think I'll have a quiet one, then celebrate at the weekend with a combination of some or all of the following: Marina's leaving do, visiting London to see Tiffany S, and the Wimborne Folk Festival (worst website ever?) with George, James and Steve.

Also started a long-term project to document the changing character of the tree in my back garden throughout the seasons, I think I'm going to get a low-angle from by the shed in the corner, using a wide-angle lense I'll record 30 seconds of footage every 2 weeks from the same place in the garden, then eventually compile the whole lot, hopefully we'll get some snow again this year...

Boogie Nation Premiere

Had a really good night at the Premiere of Boogie Nation, the new DVD that Dave Hubbard was promoting in the UK over the last few days, the video is pretty good, lots of very good Drop Knee which is exactly what I expected,

I managed to talk to Dave briefly, I gave him a mini-DVD with some footage of the UK on it, hopefully he'll get to watch it some time.

headed out afterwards to a couple of other places in Newquay, the dice led myself and a few new friends to Barracuda and then The Beach, had a thoroughly enjoyable time throughout.
